5. Chihuly Garden and Glass

Looking for a cultural artistic experience for you and your family? Well then Chihuly Garden and Glass is the place for you. With world-renown, one of a kind glass sculptures made by sculptor Dale Chihuly, this garden has some of the most beautiful art and sculpture in all of Seattle.

4. Kerry Park

With a view of the entire Seattle skyline, Kerry Park is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. Bring your picnic and your camera for the postcard-perfect views. It’s the number one spot in Seattle on a Sunny day!

3. Capitol Hill

With some of the best food and nightlife, Capitol Hill is by far my favorite neighborhood in the Seattle area. Featuring restaurants run by Jewish business owners such as Hello Robin, and Dingfelder's Delicatessen. Capital Hill is also the center of Seattle’s gay community.

2. The Seattle Aquarium and Great Wheel

The Seattle Aquarium and Great Wheel down on Seattle’s waterfront has been a popular tourist attraction for years! Experience Seattle’s aquatic life at the aquarium and then walk over to the Ferris wheel for a great view of the city.

1. Pike Place Market and the Space Needle

Seattle’s two most iconic tourist attractions, located only one mile from each other are perfect for a day out in the city. For a beautiful dinner and view of the entire city, the Space Needle is the place to go. Pike Place market features the first Starbucks in the world, and the famous fish-throwing salesmen!

5. The International Rose Test Garden

As the oldest official continuously operated public rose garden in the United States, the International Rose Test Garden is a popular tourist attraction for all that visit Portland. 4. NW 23rd Ave

NW 23rd is where foodies -young and old- come for dinner and nightlife. Restaurants such as Salt and Straw and Little Big Burger are Portland locals favorites and top recommended. The street also features amazing thrift shopping and boutiques. (Image taken from Go Dairy Free)

3. Voodoo Donuts

Voodoo Donuts is a fan-favorite donut shop located in downtown Portland, and has been a popular destination since opening in 2003. The shop features specialty donuts such as the bacon maple bar donut and the iconic voodoo fall donut. Voodoo is perfect for people with a sweet tooth.

2. Powell’s Bookstore

Powell’s is perfect for a lazy sunday afternoon. Stop by Powell’s Bookstore and pick up new, used, and even out-of-print copies of your favorite book. Then walk over to one of the many cafes in the area to read your new book! (Image taken from Book Riot)

1. Portland Saturday Market

Last but certainly not least is the Portland Sunday. This market occurs every Saturday -rain or shine- between 10 am to 5 pm. This market features booths full of arts and crafts, fresh flowers and produce, and a countless amount of food trucks.
