1. New friends: BBYO is such a unique organization because it brings together Jewish teens from all around the world, and you could meet your new best friends! There are so many opportunities to connect in meaningful ways and find people who share your common interests and religious background.
2. Pluralistic and inclusive Jewish experiences: BBYO’s mission is to involve more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences. IC is a fascinating space to bring this goal to fruition since Jewish teens from so many diverse Jewish backgrounds join together as one to expand their Jewish identities, regardless of whether this occurs virtually, or together in the same room.
3. Educate yourself on issues that are relevant in society: There are so many means by which you can participate in educational opportunities to help make a difference in your community and the world. Whether it be J-Labs, LEADS Labs, plenary speakers, or StandUp campaigns in your home BBYO community/chapter, there is always an outlet for you to express yourself and your interests, and make change.
4. Summer program reunions and pre-summer meetups: If you have previously gone on a BBYO summer program, IC is the perfect time to reunite with your summer friends and catch up! On the other hand, it is also really cool that there are meetup opportunities for those that are registered for the upcoming summer. (Sign up for Summer 2021!)
5. Really cool swag: Between general swag items and the amazing IC shuk (apparel shop), there are so many opportunities for you to get really cool items to take home with you after International Convention.
